Artwork
Artwork of any kind has been a central pillar in my life ever since I could hold a pencil. The ultimate creative outlet. I use a plethora of media, experimenting with different compositions regularly. My most developed art forms are classic painting with Acrylic paint and digital artwork using software like Procreate and Adobe Illustrator. I focus mostly on still life and landscapes, occasionally branching out into portraiture.
I have been accepting freelance commissioned work for the last year and this work ranges subjects from aircrafts to custom scientific teaching resources. With all of my work I extensively research my subject matter to ensure accuracy and in some cases, realism. With every piece I work on my personal style and flare develops and my skillset broadens further.
Teaching resources
I took on these projects for different year groups as I believe current regular teaching resources forgo creative types of learning and positive association. By creating colourful and education resources I hope to better support the students who gravitate towards creative pursuits and ,ay find it difficult to absorb information in a traditional way expected by most schools and exam boards.
Each individual piece was highly researched to ensure accuracy within learning.
The periodic table piece is a work in progress to which I intend to make downloadable PDFs for teachers to use in class. Because helpful teaching resources should be readily available for everyone.
The Red Arrows
This piece was a commission for an avid aviation fan.
I developed this from photos taken at the Cosford RAF air show, it was achieves using acrylic paint.
My goal for this piece was to create a feeling of vastness, an endless sky and the danger of flying. This goal lead me to the decision of having the focal point small in front of a moody sky and slightly off centre, almost as if you glanced at the sky yourself.
Set Design
This piece of art was a large scale and challenging piece due to the materials available to me. It was for a Music video for an Indie folk artist with the theme of 'retro-pop-art-western'.
This piece of art is currently on display at The University of Salfords MediaCity campus.
Personal and Digital
These pieces are mainly experimentation but mark an important stage in my development as an artist. These represent my interests and goals and are seen to me as a landmark on my journey.
